The Bible Church movement began in the days following World War II out of the growing desire of people for churches where the teaching of the Bible was central to the church's ministries. There was a strong tendency among more liberal churches to move away from the doctrinal positions for the authority, inspiration, infallibility, or inerrancy of the Bible. As a result, Bible churches were founded in response to this need. Today they have a combined worship attendance in North America of at least one million people on a typical weekend.
What makes a Bible Church distinct?
A Bible Church is a group of believers who hold to the essentials of the historic Christian faith. Those five essentials are:

Calvary Bible Church is not affiliated with any denomination. We are governed by our own constitution and the Church Government which the constitution sets forth.
Calvary Bible Church is an independent church dedicated to
the worship of God, the teaching of His Word, and the spreading
of the message of eternal life through Jesus Christ.
What is the Central Purpose of Calvary Bible Church
The mission or purpose of Calvary Bible Church is to glorify God by presenting "every man complete in Christ" (Col. 1:28) through worship, instruction, service, evangelism, and fellowship based upon biblical directives and the leadership of the Holy Spirit
Calvary Bible Church seeks to introduce new believers to a spiritual strategy that moves from salvation to maturity in the shortest time possible and to take existing Christians from their present level of spiritual development to a more complete maturity through the above mentioned biblical directives and functions.
